My background and philosophy
|
Over the years I have worked with people with a wide range of conditions and states of being. I talk about working with people rather than conditions.
On some level disease is a safety valve
the body asking for help
it is not who we are but something that is happening to us. I believe there is a time and a place for all forms of medicine.
There are always choices in life, but we cannot make choice unless we know there are options.
I have been practising as a complementary medical practitioner since 1985. I was drawn into the healing arts after my father died from cancer when I was 20. It triggered a deep-rooted interest in our health and well-being, with that first thought surely we dont have to just wait for disease to strike.

My initial training in osteopathy, with the College of Osteopaths, sparked my interest in the cranial field. I went on to train with the College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy and subsequently assisted on a craniosacral training with the Karuna Institute. Osteopathy and naturopathy are my roots and still continue to influence my work.
It is said that we learn a skill and then develop an art form. I would add to that...based on our personal and professional experience. With that experience, my work has developed and continues to do so, through continuous professional development and, like you, life's experiences.
I am a registered member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association (www.craniosacral.co.uk).
My interest is people and my wish, to make a difference.
